morning therapy

Had a really good morning to myself today. Slept for a good 9 hours to get rid of my panda eyes- wohoo! Not completely successful yet, but close enough.. a couple more hours tonight should do the trick yeah...

Swam in the lovely morning sun :) There's something about swimming, i don know why, it's just.. therapeutic. i'm not that a good swimmer i must confess, but i just love the water, makes me feel like a fish, no, dolphine *sounds better :p* no wonder Ariel's my fave Disney princess- i can so identify with her. only diff is that while the mermaid wishes to be part of the human world, i wish to be part of her underwater world.
but yes swimming. the luxury of complete silence to sort out your thoughts. being under the cover of an activity, but in reality getting lost in the world you make up in your mind. getting in touch with myself. never fail to leave the water in a clearer state of mind than when i get in. Nice. Swimming- i hope there are pools in heaven! Daddy, is there? :p

Then went to Far East Floral with mum to pick up carnations the Mandarin Ministry ordered for tonight's Mother's Day event. It's been a long while since i've last been there. But just walking through the rows of greenery is just.. therapeutic. you marvel at the huge spread of green before your eyes, soothing. But when you shift your gaze to observe each pot of plant, there's something about each leaf, each vein, each petal that gets to you. beauty. ooo... and the roses- in cream, peach, pink and red... huge bunches. lovely.
you'd prob burst out laughing at this, but i don know how else to put it. walking in the nursery this morning, makes me feel like a woman. hahhaah. i'm definitely so going to make a regular visit there from now.

Mum and her two friends from church got down to their carnation project at home. Love chatting with these aunties- you marvel at how the years haven watered down their zest in life one bit. Laugh at life- that's what they are entitled to do after all that they have been through. Snippets of gossip, little glimpses to what they have been through, the care they show by asking after you. Lovely ladies. And it's just so nice to see mum settling nicely in church. Just praying that she's not busying after activities, but truly having tasted the goodness of the Gospel, be giving her bit to the Lord.
Just a pity that i have to scurry off to work after helping them with "ribboning" the carnations. *hah* But listening to the program they have lined up this evening, exciting! Praying that the lost will see His love in the people, hear His love in the message and be found :)
