不登长城非好汉!! 22 July 2006, marks the day i became a GREAT MAN (好汉）!! Wahaha... Since most of you are receiving my photo albums, this is more for me to put this landmark day in my insignificant history & the Great Wall of China... Graffitti!! hehehe... There are three main sights for Great Wall, and this is 慕田峪 :)
But what struck me that day is how people like me can be having fun in one part of China, yet at the other corner in Yunnan, people are suffering from the earthquake and floods... Watching people wail over the loss of their homes on the news when i got back... The first instinct is to lament at the irony of life and cry at how unfair this fallen world is...
But yet deeper still, a thankfulness wells from within... The simplicity of having life, your loved ones safe from harm, not worrying about the next meal, we take them for granted all too easily... i may not have the answer why God would allow them to suffer and me to enjoy, but Lord thank you for my lot in life..
