Mya’s tween days are starting too early..
Overheard:
“Leave me alone!” (I don’t think we say
this to her, do we??!! Time for reflection..)
“I’m xxx (doing something). Please do not
disturb me.”
***
Her favorite song these days is the “Princess
song” that she made up.
“I’m a beautiful princess!
Mummy got me some presents!
Mummy told me to swim across the pool!”
Each line ends with a high pitch note at
the end. And for the record, I did not tell her to swim across the pool.

Mya is teaching Na-Na Sylvia Chinese
these days, so Na-Na told me.
Except, it’s “Chinese words” from Mya’s
dictionary, delivered with a straight face.
“What’s good morning in Chinese?”
“Hong2-gu2.”
“What’s strawberry in Chinese?”
“Hong2-kah1.”
It’s hard for me to keep a straight face and
teach my little pixie Chinese!

It’s yet another milestone today for my
little Elliot. He’s no longer just rolling around to get to places. He’s
kicking and inching forward. Next milestone: army crawl!
***
And thank you Yee-Yee for coming to hang
out with us. These “ordinary” days are extraordinary because of you.
