And so it happened, yesterday… My ring finger has found its owner and I guess both my finger and I ain’t the same as before :p

*my side of the story on hindsight, LONG, be warned*

Arthur was supposed to come on Friday, so I was led to believe. There I was, working hard to finish my lot of work for the week. It was tough yesterday- feeling feverish, having a cold and a deadline. To top it all up, my boyfriend had his phone “power off” and no one picked up the phone when I called his home. No one to whine to :(
*I was NOT gullible to NOT suspect anything ok… I spoke to him last night. This morning he used Skype to call my office- told me he was tired, so he slept in and want to spend the day lazing at home (when he actually landed this morning.. grrr…)*

After one whole day of failing to reach him, and two unsuccessful attempts in my car as I was driving to church for cell group in the evening, I had all my whines stored- ready to unload it on him when he finally calls at night. In my mind, i was rehearsing my lines as I drove “Couldn’t find you all day.. where were you.. booo hoo.. whine whine whine…”
*AND since there had been instances of his phone running out of credit, and thinking that he might be like me, forgetting to switch his phone on.. I didn’t think too much about him not picking up my calls.. bleah..*

So I arrived in church and uncle Ho was waiting for me in the car park.
“oops, I forgot I was supposed to have dinner with you..” I stuck out my tongue.
“why are you so late? you forgot? never mind. come, I have something to show you in the sanctuary…”
“but my cell group is waiting for me in PS, am late already…”
“very quick one… come let me hold your bag for you..” I shook my head and held on tightly to my green basket. so we were walking into the dark familiar hall- always loved it when there is no one around..

Uncle Ho stood me in front of the altar, pointed at the camera or projector or whatever that gadget is called.
“can you see the new camera?” “what camera?” “can you see the lights?” “what lights”

then the music played.. and he walked down the aisle towards me with a bunch of 12 roses in his hands…
*I don know why I cried so hard…not that hard, just harder than I expected to. well i wasn't expecting to cry AT ALL for an already expected proposal.. hehehe... I guess seeing the person you most want to see at that moment, just makes you break down a little. hehe..*

This is Renji’s favourite part. as he was approaching, I was there with my arms on my hips, “you bluff me you bluff me”.. and actually that’s all I knew to say at that time.. :p
and so he delivered what he rehearsed for ages to me.. *classified, which i made him repeat it to me this morning because my brain was guey at that time..* and I went “you bluff me” hahahaha.. anti-climax..

of course I think in the midst of it, I said “YES” :)

what made it more special was my family coming out of that control room, and knowing that they witnessed it all warmed my heart. always wanted them to be in the moment with me, especially my moo moo. and of course some dearies came by and shared the joy with us.. over chicken rice and chocolates..

I think I need more time to let the feeling set in- its all a mixture of euphoria and seriousness, it feels vaguely like something BIG has just happened and yet the simple joy of just having him by my side again is overwhelming, and it’s a bit surreal for something to just happen overnight…

for now, I guess it’s a good time to finally share our song with you… because, YOU are special to us.



Father, please help us to continue to be a blessing and love them all..

and to xun n min, its not "it wont be if not for you..." but rather "it wont be the same without you". *hugz*
