2015 Resolutions/ Hopes

Arthur asked me over dinner if I'd have resolutions this year.

I told him, there are reasons why i stopped having resolutions for many years. Maybe it's the unconscious fear of failure, the chill of being held up to a checklist, the fatigue of having to try to accomplish something, the reluctance to jump on the bandwagon, ... Oh, so many reasons, so many excuses. None good enough to say stop trying though.

So, ok.. Here are my new year resolutions or rather hopes.
  1. Connect with God intentionally every day
  2. Exercise regularly – at least once a week
  3. Date Night monthly
  4. Take Lent seriously
  5. Read 3 non-marriage books
  6. Stick to the budget
  7. Work on discipline and self-control
  8. Experience something new
  9. Serve/Volunteer for something
  10. Watch a movie I’ve always wanted to watch
  11. Keep a diary – at least one memory a day, blog monthly
  12. Be pregnant by the end of the year
Even if I accomplish nothing, i have something to look back to at the end of the year, and know what the thoughts of me now.
