Honda talk..

I feel each flake fall so gently on my body, and one by one they cover me. By the time the night is over, I am sleeping snugly under a blanket of snow and frost. The best part is when Arthur wakes me up in the morning and works me up to start running. The heat from my body melts the ice mixture on me and gives me a good bath all over. I love it when he uses the brush on me- the gentle strokes tickles me and the hard scrubs feel like a good rub. Gosh, the winter is over too soon and I am missing my baths in the snow already.

Though I must admit- that having ice on me is nice, but skating on them was not too fun at all. I was so scared that day. We were having a good ride up to Bemidji, enjoying the terrain and looking forward to spending time with the family… Until I was trying to go around the truck in front of me, and I fell into a snow ditch. Ouch. I tried to get myself out but to no avail. Finally, Arthur my hero got a tow truck to tow me out of that snow pit. Thankfully, I emerged only with some slight bruises. Phew!

While I thought that was the worst, Arthur’s wife did a Fast & Furious stunt on our way back. I always wondered what it was going to be like, but I don’t wonder that any more. The road was so icy, I spun 360 degrees on the highway! Thankfully, my neighbor charged on ahead in midst of the heavy snow, and the ones behind stopped in time. I am so glad that other than that little spin, all three of us were safe. I could tell that the poor couple was so shaken. She gripped me so tightly when she drove all the rest of the way.

These little adventures could get me by for the rest of my life I think. Fingers crossed.. Now I need to get ready for Spring.. Cant wait to give me some good cleaning and sprucing! Can’t be too shabby looking- it’s time to greet the daffodils and lilies in the fields! Woohoo!!
